BabyDaze Terms of Use

These Terms are an agreement between you and Carmy Labs, the owner and operator of BabyDaze ("Carmy Labs", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the BabyDaze app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. What BabyDaze is
BabyDaze is a private video journal. A parent creates a journal for a child, and invites family and friends to record clips into it or to watch. Nothing in BabyDaze is public. Content is visible only to the people a parent has admitted to that journal's circle, and only as far as the audience the poster chose.
2. Your account
- You sign in with Apple. Keep your Apple Account and device secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be at least 18 to create an account, or the age of majority where you live. Children appear in journals as subjects; they do not hold accounts.
- Before completing account setup, you must affirm that you are an adult account holder.
- One person, one account. Do not share access to your account.
3. Parents own the journal
The parents of a journal control it. They decide who joins, what role each person has (parent, recorder, watcher), whether recorders' clips need approval, and they can remove people, clips, or the whole journal at any time. If you are invited to a journal, your access exists at the parents' discretion and can end without notice.
4. Your content
- You keep ownership of clips, photos, captions, and comments you post. You give us a licence to store, process, and deliver them to the people you and the parents have chosen, which is what the service does. That licence ends when the content is deleted.
- Only post content you have the right to post and that the child's parents would want in the journal.
- Posting a clip into someone else's journal means the parents can keep, share within the circle, edit the caption of, or delete it. If you leave, your clips stay unless a parent removes them.
- Journal content stays private in BabyDaze unless you deliberately use the optional covered-video export. When you choose Save to Photos or Share video, the exported file is provided to Photos or the sharing destination you select, which may have its own terms and privacy practices. You are responsible for any sharing outside the circle. We ask that you not screen-record or screenshot clips. Parents may be told when a screenshot is taken.
5. What you may not do
Use BabyDaze to post anything unlawful, abusive, sexual, or that exploits a child; harass anyone in a circle; try to reach journals you were not admitted to; probe or overload the service; or reverse engineer the app. We may remove content or accounts that break these rules and we report child sexual abuse material to the authorities.
6. Reporting and blocking
Any member can report a clip or comment. Parents of that journal receive the report and can remove the reported item. For a safety concern that needs escalation beyond the journal, contact us through https://babydaze.xyz/support. You can block a person, which removes them from journals you parent and stops future invites from them.
7. Notifications and messages
Push notifications are optional and controlled in Settings.
8. Ending your account
You can delete your account in Settings. Journals where you are the only parent are deleted with every clip. Journals you share with another parent stay with them. Your clips, comments, and profile are deleted from every journal, and your Apple sign-in access is revoked. Deletion is permanent.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep BabyDaze available and to back up your journals, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service we will give you a reasonable chance to download your journals first.
10. Disclaimer and liability
BabyDaze is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes to these Terms
We will tell you in the app before material changes take effect. Continuing to use BabyDaze after that means you accept them.
